Terms of Service
These terms govern use of the NIRUNE private-preview application and this website. By using NIRUNE, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
NIRUNE is a music application intended to organize and play local music and connect compatible third-party catalog services through replaceable adapters. Availability depends on the user's device, region, provider account, subscription, and the capabilities permitted by each provider.
2. Your accounts and authorization
You are responsible for the accounts you connect and for maintaining their security. NIRUNE opens the provider's authorization page so you can grant specific access. You may disconnect a provider at any time. You must not use NIRUNE to access an account, content, or entitlement that you do not have the right to use.
3. Third-party services
Google, YouTube, and future music providers are independent third-party services. Their terms, privacy policies, availability, quotas, geographic restrictions, and subscription requirements continue to apply. NIRUNE is not endorsed by or affiliated with those providers unless explicitly stated.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use NIRUNE to violate copyright, privacy, or other applicable rights;
- bypass payment, advertising, digital-rights management, or provider account entitlements;
- interfere with provider APIs, quotas, security controls, or other users;
- distribute malware or misuse the application for unlawful activity;
- misrepresent NIRUNE as an official application of a connected provider.
5. Content and intellectual property
You retain rights in files and playlists you provide. Artists, labels, providers, and other rightsholders retain their rights in music, artwork, metadata, trademarks, and services. NIRUNE's name, visual identity, and original product materials may not be used to imply endorsement or origin without permission.
6. Privacy
The NIRUNE Privacy Policy explains how the application accesses, stores, uses, and deletes data and is incorporated into these terms.
7. Availability and changes
NIRUNE may change, suspend, or remove preview features to address security, provider compatibility, legal requirements, or product development. No promise is made that a particular provider or catalog item will remain available.
8. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NIRUNE is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free provider integration. You should keep independent backups of important local music and playlists.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of NIRUNE will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost access to a third-party service, or losses caused by preview software or provider outages.
10. Termination
You may stop using NIRUNE and disconnect provider accounts at any time. Access to a preview may be withdrawn when necessary to protect users, providers, or the project. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limitations, will survive.
11. Changes and contact
Updated terms will show a revised effective date. Questions about these terms can be sent to slcrmmbr@gmail.com.
